York City Knights have bolstered their forward power by bringing in powerful Hull teenager Ross Osborne on loan for the Kingstone Press League 1 Super 8s.

19 year old Osborne spent a month on loan at the Knights in 2016 and head coach James Ford was pleased to bring him back for a second spell at the Minster City.

Ford said: ”He’s a big lad, he carries the ball well, he can pass and he makes good contact defensively. He’s got the tools to be a very good player as he matures.

“We’ve got seven very tough games coming up and I’m confident that Ross can make an important contribution to the squad.”

Hull FC head coach Lee Radford said: “This is a great opportunity for Ross to get some 1st team football. Ross is going to York to show case his skills and hopefully show the development he’s made since his last loan spell with them.

“We are very much looking to see him perform in some crucial games for the Knights.”

Ross comes into contention for the Knights squad as they prepare to take on the undefeated Toronto Wolfpack at Bootham Crescent a week Sunday, 30th July (3pm).
