Knights set to host YSJ open afternoon

Published: 17 April, 2017 - 12:10 pm

York City Knights are delighted to announce details of our second fans forum of 2017.

This special open afternoon will be held at the club’s impressive new premises at York St John University sports campus on Haxby Road next Tuesday 25th April, starting from 3pm.

This follows on from our successful ‘launch night’ forum held in January where the club outlined our initial targets for the year both on and off the field.

As we have now completed our move into the new offices we thought this could be a great opportunity to update sponsors, partners and fans on the progress we have made since January, our plans for the future and the season so far as well as showing the fantastic new facilities we now have at our disposal.

The day will be split into 2 sections – the first session will run between 3pm and 5pm and is open to all current & potential sponsors and partner organisations and the media.

The second session will run between 6.30pm and 8pm and will be open to our fans, Vice Presidents and members of our community clubs in the city. There will be a 30 minute tour of the facilities we use, followed by updates and presentations from Andy Smith (Head of School of Sport at YSJU), Head Coach James Ford & Chairman Jon Flatman. YCK Foundation Manager Neil Gulliver will also take the opportunity to promote the excellent foundation projects we currently run, and volunteer opportunities we have available. There will also be an opportunity to meet the Knights players after their training session in the evening.

Light refreshments will be available, and we look forward to welcoming our sponsors, partners, fans and media to come and share our vision!
