York City Knights are delighted to announce the return of Mikey Lewis on loan from Hull Kingston Rovers.

20-year-old Lewis initially represented the Knights earlier this season and, in four appearances for the club, scored three tries – two on his debut for the club against Widnes Vikings and then an eye-catching length of the field effort in our AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Semi-Final victory over Swinton Lions.

After returning to Hull KR, Lewis starred for his parent club in an impressive victory over Wigan Warriors in their Betfred Super League match and, now, returns to the Knights on loan.

It has also been confirmed that Lewis will be able to play in Saturday’s AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final for the Knights against Featherstone Rovers at Wembley Stadium.

On the return of Lewis, Knights Head Coach James Ford said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be able to bring Mikey back to the club. I really enjoyed working with him previously and am excited to do so again.

“Mikey is a strong player who performs with a high degree of confidence and tenacity. I’m confident he will have a positive impact on our team and squad.”

On returning, Lewis himself said: “I am very excited to be back at the club. I really enjoyed the last time I was here and really happy to be back at the Knights!”
