O’Hagan included as Ford names squad for Widnes match

James Ford has named his 21-Man Squad for Sunday’s visit of Widnes Vikings, with half-back Brendan O’Hagan, sponsored by Rite Price Tyres, coming back into the fold to replace Mikey Lewis following the latter’s return to Hull KR.

Australian O’Hagan hasn’t played for the Knights since our defeat at Halifax Panthers earlier in the season but could make his return on Sunday against the Vikings.

Also returning to the fold are Jordan Baldwinson, sponsored by John Stabler (Textiles), and Liam Salter, sponsored by The Telford Family, both having been missing recently due to Covid-19 protocols.

Loanees Aidan McGowan and James McDonnell, both sponsored by Trade Cars 4 U, could make their first and third appearances for the club, respectively, after joining ahead of last weekend’s postponed fixture against Sheffield Eagles. McDonnell previously played two matches for the Knights in a loan spell earlier this season, his debut coming in the return fixture against Widnes Vikings.

Head Coach Ford has something of a selection dilemma in the hooking positions, with Will Jubb (Clinical Technologies), Kriss Brining (Branches Out Tree Surgeons) and Corey Johnson (Trade Cars 4 U) all vying for what would usually be two spots in the matchday squad.

The Knights will be looking to build on our 46-10 victory over Swinton Lions last time out at the LNER Community Stadium as we look to climb the table.

Tickets are available to purchase from the York Stadium Management Company Ticket Office’s online system HERE. Alternatively, you can get yours in person from the Ticket Office ahead of Sunday’s match. They are open from 10am to 1pm on Saturday 7th August as well as from 11am on Sunday.

Season ticket holders are now also able to collect season ticket cards from the Ticket Office.
