Betfred Women’s Super League 2021
The Betfred Womens Super League competition kicks off next Sunday (April 18) – with the first BWSL fixtures since Leeds Rhinos beat Castleford Tigers in the 2019 Grand Final at the Totally Wicked Stadium more than 18 months ago, after the Covid-enforced cancellation of the 2020 campaign.
In the first phase of the season, all matches will be played behind closed doors, and split between two venues – Weetwood in Leeds, and Victoria Park in Warrington.
Media facilities are limited at both, but we will try to accommodate – please contact Catherine Maddy Catherine.Maddy@rfl.co.uk for matches at Weetwood; and Abi Roberts Abi.Roberts@rfl.co.uk for matches at Victoria Park.
For full fixtures, click the link below. For the first five rounds, matches involving Bradford, Huddersfield, St Helens Warrington or Wigan will be played at Victoria Park; and matches involving Castleford, Featherstone, Leeds, Wakefield or York at Weetwood.
The RFL will be releasing digital content and images next week, including the RFL President Clare Balding OBE in conversation with Kelsey Gentles of Castleford, Amy Hardcastle of St Helens, Tara Moxon of Leeds and the England captain Emily Rudge.
We hope to arrange a joint media opportunity on Tuesday (April 13) with players from Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors ahead of their first-round meeting – which will also be Warrington’s debut in the BWSL.
