The York City Knights Excel Player Development Programme was initially launched early 2019, and combines open access training sessions with the opportunity to play games against out of area teams. The programme forms part of the York City Knights player pathway programme and has been recently rated as outstanding by the RFL.
The Excel programme – which uses the same state-of-the-art York St John University sports facilities also used by Knights first team – is an open access programme, meaning it is open to all and are not elite or selective. Our aim is to improve all players regardless of ability or experience. The programme is free but booking is essential!
We are currently seeking sponsorship to help assist with this programme. For more information or please get in touch.
