York City Knights Ladies ended their two-match losing run following a 20-6 victory away against Wigan Warriors. Despite their slow start, York were able to come from behind and seal a hugely important win in the battle for the Women’s Super League semi-finals. Rebecca Greenfield opened the scoring in the 17thΒ minute as the Warriors punished the visitors for their continuous errors. Georgia Wilson added two extra points with a successful conversion. Knights thrash Warrington in WSL rout!

York City Knights Ladies took another huge step towards a top four finish with a 62-0 victory over Warrington Wolves. In what was their first outing since June’s Challenge Cup final, the Knights ran in 11 tries at the Asics Stadium in Warrington. It proved to be a confidence-boosting win ahead of next week’s clash against Wigan Warriors. They say sequels rarely deliver. Well, that simply couldn’t be further from the truth when it comes to the ever-growing rivalry between Castleford Tigers Women and York City Knights Ladies. When the two teams clashed last weekend in the Challenge Cup semi-final, it was York who claimed an impressive 32-4 victory. One of the most anticipated games of the season ended in a bit of a whimper as York City Knights sealed their place in the Challenge Cup final with a 32-4 victory over Castleford Tigers. The controversial build-up to this fixture certainly would have made for a good Hollywood script. Five Castleford players sensationally moved to York three weeks ago to join their former head coach, Lindsay Anfield, who also made the move a few weeks earlier. York City Knights Ladies bagged their first win of the 2021 Women’s Super League season with a 42-14 victory over Featherstone Rovers. Sinead Peach opened the scoring in the fifth minute.
