York City Knights made it six consecutive wins in the Betfred Championship with a sweet victory over rivals Bradford Bulls, recording a 6-20 win at Odsal thanks to another strong defensive showing that kept our hosts to nil until the last minute of a bruising encounter. Heroic showing sees Knights leave Barrow with two points

York City Knights produced a heroic defensive display in the second period to leave Cumbria with the two points this evening in front of the Premier Sports cameras, defeating Barrow Raiders 18-30 at Craven Park. For the first twenty minutes of the second period, the Knights had to defend solely in their twenty with the Raiders forcing several repeat sets. York City Knights won their fifth consecutive Betfred Championship match this afternoon, inflicting a 30-12 defeat on Whitehaven at the LNER Community Stadium. With just one change from last weekend’s emphatic victory over Newcastle Thunder, Head Coach James Ford brought Jacob Ogden onto the wing in place of teenager AJ Towse who had been ruled out with food poisoning. York City Knights put in a superb all-round performance at the LNER Community Stadium as they scored seven tries to come away with a 38-6 victory and move up to third place in the Betfred Championship standings. Saturday’s fixture against Thunder saw hooker Will Jubb celebrate his 100th appearance for the Knights and, after leading the Knights out, helped the Knights to the two vital competition points. James Ford’s Knights men capped off a brilliant day at our first Knights Double-Header of 2022 by inflicting a 32-6 defeat on Widnes Vikings in possibly the team’s best performance of the year so far. With several changes from last weekend’s Challenge Cup defeat at Whitehaven, the Knights resembled a much more familiar line-up and it didn’t take long to trouble the scoreboard operator. Whitehaven ended the Knights Mens’ run in 2022’s Betfred Challenge Cup in emphatic fashion this afternoon, defeating James Ford’s team 38-12 at the LEL Arena with a strong first-half showing setting the platform. A much-changed Knights team saw Myles Harrison and Brad Ward included, the former at full-back with the latter returning on the wing.
