York City Knights (12) 12-16 (6) Featherstone Rovers The Knights fell to an agonising late defeat on Sunday night as Craig Hall’s 77th minute try gave Featherstone Rovers the two points, extending their unbeaten start to the season. At the LNER Community Stadium, it was James Ford’s York who started well and opened the scoring with Warrington loanee Riley Dean at the heart of it. Dewsbury Rams (14) 20-30 (14) York City Knights The Knights made it back-to-back victories in the Betfred Championship on Sunday evening, securing a 30-20 victory over Dewsbury Rams at The Tetley’s Stadium – but what a battle it was. An end to end tie where, for large parts, there was nothing between the two teams, was eventually secured by an excellent Matty Marsh try in the 77th minute and that was the only time either team really broke clear of the other. Fresh from an emphatic win over Swinton Lions last time out, the Knights weren’t able to replicate that... ...Read The Article

With three loanees debuting for the team in the shape of Joe Keyes, Lewis Peachey and Yusuf Aydin, James Ford did have more selection options than the defeat to Wigan Warriors, with many Knights returning to the matchday squad. A brave York City Knights were beaten 28-22 by Hull FC in their first game at the LNER Community Stadium. The Knights were 22 points behind against the Betfred Super League contenders by the hour mark having fallen behind in the opening minutes. But a stirring comeback saw them score three tries thereafter and only a late offside call prevented an incredible draw.
