King joins on loan
York City Knights are pleased to announce the signing of forward Danny King on loan until the end of the season from fellow Betfred Championship club Dewsbury Rams.
The 21-year-old joined the Rams ahead of the 2019 season after a spell with Bradford Bulls but initially came through the youth academy at Widnes Vikings. King has made five appearances so far this season for Dewsbury, four of which have come from the bench including during the Knights recent 24-21 victory over his former club.
Head coach James Ford said of the signing “Danny is a player who has potential to really kick on as long as he works hard at all areas linked to his game. He’s a very tall player with good skills and could develop into a good player.”
King is available for selection immediately and could feature this Saturday as the Knights head to Canada to face league leaders Toronto Wolfpack.
