Knights raise a toast to new 3 year Isaac Poad deal!

York City Knights are delighted to welcome on board Isaac Poad Brewing as official club partners for the next three years.

The deal follows a hugely successful first year as Isaac Poad Brewing came on board as our official Man of the Match sponsors, and recently launched a special beer – ‘A Knights Ale’ – which sold out to pubs across Yorkshire within days.

The new deal will see Isaac Poad Brewing continue to sponsor the official Man of the Match award, as well as their branding featuring on the Knights playing kit and prominent pitch side advertising.

Established in York in 1863, Isaac Poad forged a reputation as a specialist malting barley merchant working closely with farmers, brewers and distillers for well over a century.

Midway through 2016 the company began a new, additional, adventure and began to brew and sell their own range of traditional session ales, and Isaac Poad Brewing was born.

Selling cask ales to free houses in the North of England, their business is growing fast, yet they keep their feet firmly on the ground, remembering their York heritage.

Chris Dearnley – Brewery Manager of Isaac Poad said: “We have really enjoyed seeing our partnership with York City Knights flourish this season, and are delighted to build on that over the next three years.

“We are a proud York company and there is a genuine buzz around the city for the Knights at present, and with the move to new stadium imminent, a quality management team and a squad of exciting players, we see only more great things to come – hopefully in the Championship and possibly beyond!”

York City Knights owner Jon Flatman said: “We would like to raise another glass and thank Isaac Poad Brewing for continuing to support us. It is great to see our valued partners wanting to further enhance our strong relationship at what is a very exciting time for the club.

“We look forward to continuing to work with the team at Isaac Poad throughout the next three years and to develop our partnership in even more exciting ways going forward.”
